Creating Our Roadmap to Success

Over time, we have been transforming and acquiring some of the most iconic vacation and travel-related businesses to become the world’s leading membership and leisure travel company.

In 2018, we established Wyndham Destinations, Inc. and spun off our hotel business into a separate publicly traded company, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. While they are two separate entities, we have long-term exclusive license agreements to retain our connection with Wyndham Rewards, one of the top loyalty programs in the hospitality industry. Since then, we have also acquired Alliance Reservations Network and the iconic Travel + Leisure brand.

Cendant Corporation splits into four separate, publicly traded companies one of which is Wyndham Worldwide, comprised of three divisions: Wyndham Hotel Group, Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, and Wyndham Vacation Ownership.


Fairfield and Trendwest are renamed Wyndham Vacation Resorts and WorldMark by Wyndham


Wyndham Vacation Resorts becomes Club Wyndham


Shell Vacations Club is added to the Wyndham timeshare portfolio


Partnership begins with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, creating Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham


Wyndham Club Pass launches as an internal exchange program


Love Home Swap, DAE (now 7Across), and @Work International are acquired


Debut of Wyndham Destinations, the world’s largest vacation ownership, exchange, and rental company and the spin-off of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is completed


Alliance Reservations Network, specializing in travel technology, is acquired


Acquisition of the Travel + Leisure brand from Meredith Corporation, creating Travel + Leisure Co.
